ABOUT HAVEN HOUSE

Since 1983, Haven House NWI has provided emergency shelter for Domestic Violence victims and their children in Hammond, Indiana. Haven House stands out as the only domestic violence shelter in Hammond and the sole facility of its kind in the northern region of Lake County. Over the last decade, we have successfully supported more than 1,700 survivors and their children, helping them find safety and rebuild their lives.

Our services are FREE and CONFIDENTIAL. The first concern at Haven House is to respond to a domestic crisis with safe emergency housing and basic daily necessities for the survivor.​ Our goal is to assist with long term solutions for each family by offering resources and referrals to agencies to assist survivors with establishing independent living skills while increasing safety and stability.
